Hidden under the surface of pulsing and noisy cities, you'll find a quite vivid scene of graffiti writers, musicians and artists in most urban places. For decades hip hop artists and writers all over the world found food for thought in the everyday city sceneries and a very own way to express their inner world outside. Most often undemanded or illegal: 'Nobody asked me wether I want to see the big brands advertisement or not.'
This underground scene rarely has anything in common with the weed- smoking media cliché. On the contrary, especially the graffiti writers have sworn in circles, risking court procedures and enormous amounts of money. The longterm documentation is trying to give insight in this often incomprehensible culture.
